PFLUGERVILLE, Texas, March 7 (UPI) -- Texas police said a woman has been charged with injury to a child after she allegedly used a stun gun on her 14-year-old son as a form of punishment.

A teacher told police about the suspected abuse and a report was filed with Child Protective Services, KXAN-TV, Austin, Texas said.

The arrest warrant says that a 4-year-old sibling of the teen told a teacher that his mother had "tased" the 14-year-old four times, including once in the head.

During the incident, the father held the 14-year-old down, KXAN-TV said.

Police said the teen has bruising and burning consistent with stun gun injuries.

The mother told police she used the stun gun because "he is a handful."
