Baker, 44, received the additional sentence for conspiracy to distribute prescription drugs, the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer reported. She is currently serving a term of 14 years and nine months to 18 years and six months for second-degree murder.
Monday's sentencing was not connected to Zahra Baker's death.
Baker was indicted in May 2011 for participating in the distribution of hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Xanax from 2006 to 2010. In January 2012 she pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy.
