ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- A body found "concealed" in a car towed to a Minnesota impound lot was that of missing 18-year-old Brittany Clardy of St. Paul, a sheriff's officer said.
The body was discovered Thursday in a car at a Columbia Heights impound lot after the vehicle had been towed there from a Brooklyn Park apartment building, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
Clardy had been missing since Feb. 11, authorities said.
Cmdr. Paul Sommer of the Anoka County sheriff's office said Clardy's body was "concealed" in the back seat of the car.
The teen had worked at a recreation center in North Dale and helped care for children, said co-worker Nathan Hoke.
"She was friendly and upbeat, a hard worker," Hoke said.
The cause of death had not been determined. Autopsy results were pending.
