PATERSON, N.J., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- A teacher was arrested in New Jersey after allegedly arranging to meet a student out of school and offering $50 for sex.
Thomas Weir, 50, of Monticello, N.Y., allegedly made the offer at a restaurant near where he's taught for 21 years at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson, N.J. Weir is charged with attempted sexual assault, luring or enticing a child, official misconduct and attempted endangerment of a child's welfare. If convicted on all counts, he could face 30 years in prison.
