PLACENTIA, Calif., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Police in California said they found 30 weapons, some stolen, while executing a search warrant to investigate a man for stealing motorcycles and selling drugs.

The Orange County Register reported Sunday that Placentia police officer Chris Anderson stopped the man on a traffic violation and discovered he had an outstanding warrant based on an ongoing investigation.

During the investigation, police developed a lead on a storage unit where they found the weapons and drugs. A silenced Mac-10 machine pistol and AR-15 assault-style rifles were found among the weapons, the Register reported.

The man was found to be living at the storage unit at a vacant industrial business. A marijuana-growing operation, large quantities of heroin and cash, and a stolen customized Japanese race bike were found there, Anderson said.

Based on evidence discovered at the scene, two men and a woman were taken into custody.

The suspects' names had not yet been released.
