Police said they also had found the SUV used in the Thursday shooting on the Strip outside an apartment complex, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

Police said they believe the shooting was precipitated by a verbal argument between Cherry and Harris that escalated into a car chase.

Harris was described as 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, black with brown hair, brown eyes and several tattoos, including a heart-shaped one below his right eye and a large owl on his neck, the Sun said.

Police said Harris, who also uses the name Ammar Asim Faruq Harris, has an extensive criminal history and is considered armed and dangerous.
