DALLAS, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Nearly 100 riders found themselves stuck on on the Dallas Zoo monorail when it stalled Saturday afternoon, a fire department official said.
KDFW-TV, Dallas, reported the 93 passengers were stuck on the monorail for 30-45 minutes. Zoo officials blamed an electrical malfunction, the TV station said.
Dallas Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said about 4:45 p.m. local time that all passengers have been successfully removed from the train, The Dallas Morning News reported.
Firefighters used five extension ladders to get the passengers to safety from about 20 feet in the air. No injuries were reported.
