STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky's attorney says he plans to appeal for a new trial in the child sex abuse case against his client.
Sandusky's lawyer Joe Amendola gave written notice Thursday that he plans to appeal Judge John Cleland's decision last month denying defense's request to throw out the verdict and retry Sandusky, Centre Daily Times, State College, Pa., reported.
