Quebec students strip-searched during exam

DELAND, Fla., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- A Central Florida middle school student was hospitalized after eating brownies laced with marijuana that had been brought to the school, officials said.
Volusia County sheriff's officials said a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old boy admitted bringing the brownies to Southwestern Middle School in DeLand, the Orlando Sentinel reported Thursday.
About a dozen students sampled the brownies or were aware they were on campus, deputies said.
Deputies said they also found a small bag of marijuana hidden on campus by one of the boys who brought the confections.
Prosecutors will decide if charges will be filed.
The condition of the child taken to the hospital was not released.
