PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- A young woman has been charged with the bizarre kidnapping of a 5-year-old girl from a Philadelphia elementary school.

After several hours of questioning, Christina Regusters, 19, was charged Thursday with kidnapping, rape, aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy, KYW-TV, Philadelphia, reported.

Three other people brought in for questioning, including Reguster's aunt, were expected to be released, the report said.

Police released little information about the case Thursday. KYW reported sources in the police department said Regusters appeared to be the woman who -- dressed in a Muslim-style outfit that covered most of her body -- walked into the Bryant Elementary School Jan. 14 and left with the 5-year-old.

The little girl was found the next morning half-naked in a playground in Upper Darby, just outside Philadelphia.

She has been able to give investigators crucial evidence, police said.

The girl was able to identify the back of the house where Regusters lived, WPVI-TV, Philadelphia, reported.

Sources said she told investigators there was a bird in the house and she was told it would peck her eyes if she did not cooperate.

A macaw was seized from the house Thursday.

"I've said this several times, she's been a trooper. A very brave little girl," Police Capt. John Darby of the Special Victims Unit said.
