3 killed in film-shoot helicopter crash

ACTON, Calif., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Three people were killed in California Sunday when a helicopter involved in a film production shoot crashed, police officials said.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials said the crash in Acton was reported at 3:40 A.M., KABC-TV, Los Angeles, reported.

Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board officials were heading to the site of the crash, KABC reported.

The Bell 206 Jet Ranger crashed under unknown circumstances at the Polsa Rosa Ranch, said FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer, adding the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
