FAIRFIELD, Calif., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- A 32-year-old man was arrested Friday in the rape and killing of a 13-year-old girl found naked in a park in Fairfield, Calif., authorities said.

Antony Lamar Jones of Fairfield was jailed without bail on several charges, including suspicion of murder, rape, kidnapping to commit rape, and lewd and lascivious acts on a child, The (Vacaville) Reporter said. He was expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Solano County Superior Court, county District Attorney Donald A. du Bain said.

Police have not said how Genelle Conway-Allen, a foster child from Suisun City died. Her body was found in Allan Witt Park Feb. 1 the day after she was reported missing.

Fairfield police Sgt. Rebecca Belk said Jones had been under 24-hour surveillance since being identified as a possible suspect early in the investigation, The Reporter said.

"Finally with tears in our hearts, we can now begin to say goodbye to sweet Genelle," the teen's foster family said in a statement.

Du Bain said the killing of the 13-year-old "assaults the very core of who we are and what we stand for as a community."
