Cocaine found in salvaged car door

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Workers at an auto repair shop in Poplar Bluff, Mo., found $150,000 of cocaine hidden in a used car door it ordered from a Dallas salvage yard, police said.

The door to an SUV apparently came from a vehicle that was wrecked in the Dallas area, impounded by police but never claimed, and scrapped for parts in a Dallas salvage yard, Poplar Bluff Police Chief Danny Whitely said.

When it arrived at the repair shop, five plastic storage containers containing six pounds of cocaine were discovered in the door, KFVS-TV, Cape Girardeau, reported Wednesday.
