ATLANTA, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A Georgia judge has denied bond to an Atlanta student accused of shooting a Morehouse College student during a fight on the Clark Atlanta University campus.
Amir Obafemi, 21, a student at CAU, was denied bond during his first court appearance Monday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.
Obafemi allegedly shot Cornileus Savage in the forearm Friday. Savage's injuries were not considered life- threatening.
Fulton County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Obafemi Saturday and charged him with aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon at school, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
CAU President Carlton Brown said Obafemi had been suspended while an investigation of the incident was conducted.
Obafemi's next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 18.
