SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A truck collided with the wing of a parked cargo plane at Salt Lake City's airport Sunday night, injuring the truck driver, authorities said.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported fuel stored in the plane's wing spilled onto the tarmac during the 6:20 p.m. accident.

Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann said part of the plane's wing came through the truck's windshield, injuring the driver.

She said it wasn't clear why the truck failed to avoid the aircraft.

The condition of the hospitalized unidentified driver was not known, she said.
