JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A Florida woman who pleaded guilty to selling sex with her 6-year-old daughter for drugs and money faces as much as 30 years in prison.

Dalina Nicholas, 36, pleaded guilty to four counts of child neglect Wednesday as part of a plea agreement, the (Jacksonville) Florida Times-Union reported.

As part of the agreement, a charge of sexual battery was dropped against Nicholas in return for her testimony against four others charged in the case -- Quinn Brooks, 57, and Ryan Harrover, 34, who have been charged with sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation, and John Hagans, 48, and Norman Thompson, 52, who have been charged with sexual battery.

A homeless man told police he witnessed several different men having sex with the girl.

Jacksonville Beach police said Nicholas lived in subsidized housing and supported herself and her drug habit by selling her daughter for sex. The girl told a child protection team member about the sexual assaults and physical abuse, police said.

Nicholas' attorney, Gonzalo Andux, said his client didn't understand what was happening to her daughter because of her drug abuse and mental health issues.

"She's very remorseful about what happened," Andux said.

Nicholas not be sentenced until the other trials in the case are concluded.

The girl and her younger brother were sent to live with relatives after Nicholas was arrested, the newspaper said.
