FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania coach was arrested on charges he had sex with an underage girl on same softball team as his daughter, court records say.

Kevin Jones, 34, of Fairless Hills, near Philadelphia, whose house burned down Jan. 25 as police were investigating him for sexual assault, faces charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of someone under age 16 and other offenses, the news website philly.com reported Tuesday.

The alleged victim played on the same team as the coach's daughter, a team whose Facebook page identifies it as the Levittown Bulldogs, a fast-pitch softball travel team.

Court documents say Jones began to flirt with the girl when she was 14, a relationship which led to sex at Jones' home. From June 2011 to January 2013 the two exchanged approximately 1,400 Facebook messages that included love messages, invitations to "snuggle" and "sleep over," and a threat by Jones to kill any boy in which the girl was interested.

In January the girl told her sister about the relationship. Their mother contacted police, the website said.

A search warrant of Jones' trailer home was prepared, but the home burned and the contents were not salvageable, court records said.

Jones was arrested Monday.
