SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Authorities searched a residential property in San Francisco Tuesday, looking for the remains of a 10-year-old boy missing for 29 years, KGO-TV reported.

The San Francisco TV station said city police and the FBI searched the grounds of a home at Masonic Avenue and Page Street for any sign of Kevin Collins, who vanished in 1984.

The individual authorities believe may be responsible for Kevin's abduction is dead but lived at the home when the boy disappeared, KGO-TV said.

Investigators dug in the home's back yard and basement.

Kevin vanished while waiting for a bus at Oak Street and Masonic Avenue after basketball practice at St. Agnes School. Thousands of tips that came in through the years provide fruitless in finding the boy.
