MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Police have begun sifting through a Menomonee Falls, Wis., landfill in search of the body of rap artist Evon Young, also known as Yung LT.

Young, 22, was last seen nearly a month ago. Five men, including one with whom Young shared a Milwaukee home, were charged with first-degree intentional homicide as parties to a crime, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Tuesday.

Several of the suspects confessed Young's body was wrapped in a sheet, placed in an apartment trash bin and set on fire, the criminal complaint said.

By the time police were aware of the confession, the trash bin has been emptied and delivered to a Waste Management landfill, Milwaukee Police Lt. Kenneth Grams said.

Monday's search of the landfill, with police detectives, backhoe operators and specially-trained dogs, was concentrated on a 200 square-foot area of compacted trash, the newspaper said.

The victim, as Yung LT, was identified as a male, although the criminal complaint identifies him as biologically female and lists the name Emily Young.

The men charged with killing Young are scheduled to appear in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing, court documents say.
