THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Prosecutors said they have dropped charges against a Texas college student following a campus shooting last week.
Carlton Berry, was initially charged with two counts of aggravated assault following the shooting at Lone Star College in The Woodlands. Prosecutors Monday cleared Berry of any involvement and have now charged another man, Trey Foster.
Police said the shooting, during which a student and maintenance worker were injured, stemmed from an altercation between Foster and another student.
The Houston Chronicle said Berry didn't know Foster and had nothing to do with the incident.
Foster is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
