YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Two Ohio men filed a lawsuit over injuries they said were suffered in a brutal fraternity hazing at Youngstown State University.
Resean Yancey and Breylon Stubbs, both from Youngstown, alleged they endured repeated beatings at a home on the city's south side last year in a case that resulted in a separate criminal case in which nine men were charged with felony assault.
The defendants in the civil case filed this week included 10 individuals and the YSU chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. The Youngstown Vindicator said the suit seeks $50,000 from each defendant.
The case was set for trial May 13 in Mahonig County Common Pleas Court.
