HILLSBORO, Ore., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- An Oregon sheriff's deputy was shot and wounded while responding to a domestic disturbance involving an off-duty police officer and his wife, authorities said.
The Washington County deputy's injuries were not life-threatening and the officer, from Hillsboro, was arrested on multiple charges and jailed, The (Portland) Oregonian) reported Monday.

The disturbance was at the home of the off-duty officer, who suffered minor injuries in the encounter, police said.
The officer's wife and 6-year-old daughter were not injured, authorities said.
Washington County officials did not release the names of the people involved.
