Small place crash in Oklahoma kills 3

MANGUM, Okla., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Three people have died in a small plane crash near Mangum, Okla., officials said.

The 1964 Beechcraft Baron fixed-wing, twin engine aircraft crashed just after 5 p.m. Saturday, The (Oklahoma City) Oklahoman reported.

The pilot, Stephen Scott, 53, and two passengers, John Hall, 45, and Edi Ortega, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.

A witness said the plane appeared to be having engine problems before it crashed, KRMG radio in Tulsa, Okla., reported.
