MADISON, Wis., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- A fourth suspect has been charged in the August attack that left Wisconsin running back Montee Ball with a concussion, an arrest warrant says.

The arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for Karlis Griffin, 27, who is charged with substantial battery in the Aug. 1 attack on Ball. Madison, Wis., police said Griffin is the final suspect in the attack.

Two of the three others charged, Robert Wilks, 22, and Wendell Venerable, 21, have pleaded guilty and have been placed in a first offenders program. The third, Deonte Wilson, 21, is scheduled for a plea and sentencing hearing Friday.

Griffin is not a University of Wisconsin student, unlike the other three charged, the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison reported Thursday.
