TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Police say a man who worked as a teller at a Tampa, Fla., Bank of America branch conspired with a fellow employee to steal more than $100,000 from the bank.

The heist happened around noon Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Police said. Marcus Ryan Halbert, 22, entered the bank and pointed a knife at his friend, Alan Michael Ethington, 21.

Halbert then made off with $103,000.

Police quickly caught Halbert, who then allegedly told them he and Ethington had planned the robbery.

Halbert and Ethington were both arrested Tuesday and charged with grand theft and defrauding a financial institution.

Both suspects remained in jail Wednesday in lieu of $5,000 bail each.
