MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- A Minneapolis-area man charged with having a homemade tattoo threatening a police officer wants to get it removed, his lawyer says.

Cindy McCollum, who represents Antonio Jenkins Jr., asked a judge Tuesday to reduce his bail to $5,000 from $60,000, the St. Paul Pioneer-Press reported. She said state funding for the removal of gang-related tattoos has been exhausted, but Fraser, if he is freed from jail, could go back to work at a pretzel shop and raise the money.

Jenkins, who lives in the suburb of St. Louis Park, was arrested in November after he posted a photograph of the tattoo on Facebook. The tattoo shows a man holding a gun into the mouth of a pig dressed in a police uniform with the badge number of a Minneapolis officer assigned to an anti-gang squad.

"Tattoo iz a pig get'n his brains blew out," the Facebook caption said.

Jenkins, a reputed member of the Bloods gang, was on probation after a short sentence for armed robbery when he was arrested.

Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Michael Radmer argued against bail reduction, arguing that Jenkins remains active in a gang. The judge is expected to rule in a few days.
