50 men nabbed in child sex sting

OVIETO, Fla., Jan. 15 (UPI) -- A sting operation involving 16 Florida law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrests of more than four-dozen men seeking sex with children, authorities said.

The suspects all drove down to a home in the Florida city of Oviedo, some 19 miles from Orlando, where they expected to have an illicit date, CNN reported.

Instead of a child, the men were met by police officers.

Footage released by authorities shows officers slamming the suspects against the wall of the home before cuffing them.

Authorities said one of the suspects was a Florida high school English teacher who arrived at the decoy home with condoms in his pocket to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Another suspect was a middle school science teacher planning to have sex with a 14-year-old boy, authorities said.

A school janitor, a tourist from Turkey and a businessman from North Carolina also turned up.

In all, police nabbed 50 suspects ranging in age from 19 to 60.
