NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- The New Orleans Police Department arrested a 23-year old for kidnapping a 3-year-old girl from her home in St. Claude, police said.

The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune said Kentrell Harris was booked in Orleans Parish jail Saturday night on a charge of aggravated kidnapping of a child.

Police said a man called police after seeing photos of Harris on the news. He reported Harris was at his home at 10:30 p.m.

The Times-Picayune said the girl, Dajanae Brady, was in good health and was returned to her parents.

Police said Harris believed she had permission to take the child.

Both Harris and Brady had been missing since Monday, police said.

Harris allegedly picked the girl up at 10 a.m. at her father's house and told the father the girl's grandmother asked Harris to take her to the grandmother's house.

Brady's father discovered Friday that the grandmother did not have his daughter.

Police said the family had known Harris for five years and Harris had picked up the girl before.
