STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Prosecutors have enough evidence to try a Detroit-area man who allegedly killed four women, a judge says.

A preliminary hearing was held Wednesday for James Brown, 24, of Sterling Heights, Mich., the Detroit Free Press reported. His arraignment was scheduled Jan. 22 in Macomb County Circuit Court.

Brown faces 10 felony charges, including four counts of first-degree murder.

Detroit Homicide Detective Derryck Thomas testified during the hearing that Brown admitted dumping the bodies of his victims in Detroit. Thomas said Brown met the women on line and invited them to his home, two at a time.

The bodies of Demesha Hunt, Renisha Landers, Natasha Curtis and Vernithea McCrary were found in December 2011. Hunt and Landers were in the trunk of Landers' car, and were discovered Dec. 19, while Curtis and McCrary were in the trunk of a car set alight on Dec. 25.

Brown was living in the basement of his mother's home in Sterling Heights at the time. Investigators said they found evidence there linking him to the killings.
