Police Chief John Bryfonski said a relative asked authorities to do a well-being check on Dr. Eduardo Quesada and his wife, Sonia, New England Cable News reported Tuesday.
"I can tell you there were no visible signs of trauma to either of the individuals," Bryfonski said, adding that a considerable amount of prescription medicine was found nearby.
He said Dr. Quesada was taken to a nearby hospital and has had only a brief conversation with authorities.
In November the prominent anesthesiologist and his wife were beaten during a home invasion. So far, police have made no arrests in the incident.
Police did not release the ages of the couple.
