CHELMSFORD, Mass., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Fires in three Massachusetts cities killed four people and injured at least two others, fire officials said.

Fire officials said a fire Saturday in a fourth-floor condominium in Chelmsford killed a disabled man and woman and injured four others, including a 7-year-old boy, The Boston Globe reported.

State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan said a 15-year-old girl died in a fire in Holyoke on Saturday and a 70-year-old man died in a fire in Winchendon on Friday.

"It's a very tragic weekend for us," Coan said.

He said he didn't know how many people were displaced because of the Chelmsford condo fire. American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts said volunteers provided 10 people from four units with emergency funds for food and clothing.

The two victims were married, the Globe reported.

In Holyoke, the fire broke out in a two-story, single-family home and the girl was found in what firefighters said likely was her bedroom.

Firefighters rescued one woman and one firefighter suffered a knee injury, Holyoke Fire Lt. Thomas Paquin said. They also rescued one dog, but said two other dogs were unaccounted-for.

Officials said the 70-year-old man was killed Friday in a two-alarm fire at a wood-frame house.
