HOUSTON, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Police said a woman died during a flight from Brazil to Dallas, and although there are no signs of foul play, her death is under investigation.
A spokesman from the Houston Police Department said a 25-year-old woman from Brazil was on an American Airlines flight from Sao Paulo to Dallas Wednesday morning when she went into medical distress after flying for eight hours.
KTRK-TV, Houston, said the plane was diverted to Houston due to the ill passenger, but the woman died before the plane landed in Bush Intercontinental Airport.
The flight arrived about 6:20 a.m.
American Airlines is not releasing any information on the passenger.
KTRK-TV said flight crew members and a doctor on board performed emergency procedures on the woman. An autopsy was scheduled.
