Dad who drowned sons gets death penalty
DALLAS, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A judge in Dallas Tuesday reduced the bail for Dallas Cowboy nose tackle Josh Brent, accused of intoxication manslaughter, from $500,000 to $100,000.
The Dallas Morning News said Brent's attorney George Milner had argued that his client's $500,000 bail was too high.
Brent, 24, is accused in the Dec. 8 death of teammate and close friend Jerry Brown in a single-car crash in Irving, Texas. He has no Texas driver's license and his Illinois license was suspended.
Brent also has been ordered to wear a device to monitor his alcohol intake, and is barred from drinking alochol or driving, the Morning News reported.
