BOSTON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Dwayne Moore, convicted of four counts of felony murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment in Boston's 2010 execution-style "Mattapan Massacre."
Authorities said Moore, 35, was part of a group that robbed the residence of Simba Martin on Sept. 28, 2010, before Martin and four others were brought outside, including survivor William Hurd, who was shot and paralyzed. Four were brought outside and shot to death. Among those killed were Eyanna Flonory, 21, and her 2-year-old son Amani Smith.
"There is no code on the street that would permit or explain ... some rationale of the deaths of Eyanna Flonory and her son, "said Suffolk County, Mass., Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke said before handing down an order to serve two pairs of life sentences consecutively, first for those of Flonory and Amani, then for Simba Martin, 21, and Levaughn Washum-Garrison, 22.
A jury found Moore, who served 15 years for fatally stabbing a teenager in 1996, guilty of the crimes Monday, the Boston Herald reported.
