Conn. dad, daughter had child together

BETHEL, Conn., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- A Connecticut man and his daughter who had a child together face charges for their incestuous relationship, police say.

The two were arrested Monday after a DNA test proved George Sayers Jr., 46, and Tiffany Hartford, 23, Bethel are father and daughter and he is the father of her child, the Danbury News-Times reported Tuesday.

An investigation of the pair began in February when a former girlfriend of Hartford's told police Sayers was selling photographs and videos of her and Hartford having consensual sex a few years earlier, the News-Times reported.

The two were charged with third-degree sexual assault for their incestuous relationship and with obscenity and conspiracy to commit obscenity for the alleged distribution of the images of the two women having sex, the newspaper said.

Sayers and Hartford at first denied knowing they were father and daughter. Sayers at some point said he thought his deceased brother was Hartford's father, police said.
