Arrested couple returned to N.H.

PLAISTOW, N.H., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A New Hampshire woman and her boyfriend, arrested in Florida for allegedly abusing her 3-year-old son have been sent back to New England, officials said.

Jessica Linscott, 23, and her 27-year-old boyfriend, Roland Dow, landed at Logan International Airport Saturday, the Boston Herald reported.

"We helped take them off the plane on the tarmac and they were immediately driven away by [New Hampshire] authorities," Massachusetts State Police spokesman Dave Procopio said.

The couple, of Plaistow, N.H., face multiple criminal charges for the alleged abuse of Linscott's son. The boy was dropped off at Exeter Hospital with a badly burned wrist and fingers and a skull so battered that doctors thought he'd been blinded.

Dow faces first- and second-degree assault charges. Linscott is accused of endangering the welfare of a child and neglect.

They are expected to be arraigned this week.
