HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A collision between a school bus and pickup truck in Hartford, Conn., injured two students and the truck driver, authorities reported.

The accident occurred Wednesday morning as 13 students aboard the bus traveled to Holy Trinity elementary school, the Hartford Courant reported.

A school spokesman said two students were treated by the school nurse for minor injuries that included split lips.

The pickup truck driver, who struck a utility pole before hitting the bus head-on, had serious injuries and was transported to MidState Medical Center in Meriden, authorities at the scene of the accident said.
