Teen charged as adult in deadly spree

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A California teenager accused of joining a 26-year-old in crimes that included killing a man during a carjacking was arraigned Wednesday as an adult.

Adonis Muldrow, 15, of San Jose said nothing during a brief court appearance in San Jose, the San Jose Mercury News reported. He did not enter a plea.

Officials said he will remain in a juvenile facility for the moment.

Muldrow and Jonathan Wilbanks, 26, of San Jose allegedly carried out a series of robberies on Nov. 16. They allegedly shot Rory Park-Pettiford, 22, of Campbell while attempting to steal his car at a 7-11 in San Jose.

They also allegedly wounded a San Jose police officer who pursued them.

Muldrow and Wilbanks are scheduled to appear in court Dec. 5.
