STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Lawyers for three former Pennsylvania State University officials are seeking to push back a preliminary hearing set for mid-December.
Defense attorneys for Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, two former school officials accused of lying to cover up child sex abuse they knew was happening at the hands of assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, did not give a reason for their request, the State College Centre Daily Times reported Wednesday.
A similar request was made on behalf of former school president Graham Spanier, who prosecutors said was also in on the cover-up, and is also scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Dec. 13.
A Dauphin County judge has not ruled on the motion.
