11 puppies found dead, skinned in Pa.

ALLENTOWN, Pa., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Humane Society officials in Pennsylvania said 11 puppies that were found dead near Lower Macungie Township Park were skinned to the bone.

The puppies were found around 4 p.m. Friday and were taken to the Lehigh County Humane Society's shelter in Allentown, The Morning Call, Allentown, Pa., reported.

Officials at the shelter confirmed that the puppies were skinned to the bone.

While an investigation into the incident is under way, local organizations have offered a reward in an attempt to help gather information and solve the case.

"We have decided to help offer a reward in response to this disgusting discovery," the Lehigh Valley Pitbull Awareness Club said on Facebook. "We have pledged $100 to start in hopes that others will join."
