JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Police arrested a 39-year-old mother who allegedly abandoned her 6-year-old daughter at a Sam's Club in Jeffersontown, Ky., officials said.
Fengshan Huang, 39, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony wanton endangerment, the Louisville (Ky.) Courier-Journal reported.
Witnesses told police they found Huang's child alone in an aisle and when they brought the child to Huang, she told them, "Take her, call 911."
Store officials intervened as Huang left. They asked Huang to take her child, but Huang said, "I don't want her anymore."
Maj. Steve Griffin of the Jeffersontown Police Department said police found a 13-year-old boy left alone at Huang's home. Police could not find a family member to release the children to, so the children were taken to the Home of the Innocents, he said.
