RIVER FALLS, Wis., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A real estate listing for a Wisconsin home where a man allegedly killed his three daughters has been taken down because he could profit from the sale.

Police say Aaron Schaffhausen, who was living in Minot, N.D., at the time, allegedly killed his three children, Amara, 11, Sophie, 8 and Cecilia, 5, July 10 at the River Falls, Wis., home where they lived with their mother, then called his ex-wife, who wasn't home at the time, and told her what he'd done.

Jessica Schaffhausen saw the real estate listing and contacted the agent via Facebook, telling the agent a sale of the home, still in Aaron Schaffhausen's name could benefit him financially and disqualify him from receiving the free services of the public defender's office, delaying court proceedings while he hired a new lawyer, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer-Press reported Monday.

The real estate agency pulled its $229,900 listing for the four-bedroom, 2,320-square-foot home shortly after learning of the situation.

Aaron Schaffhausen is scheduled to stand trial on three counts of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of attempted arson in April, the newspaper said.
