TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- An octogenarian shot two women to death at a seniors apartment complex in Torrance, Calif., Tuesday and then turned his gun on himself, police said.

Police said they had no motive for the double murder-suicide that occurred just after noon in the lobby at the Golden West Tower Apartments, the Torrance Daily Breeze reported. The names of the slain women and the gunman had not been released.

Workers told the newspaper one of the women appeared to be a caregiver for at least two elderly residents.
