
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- A retired Philadelphia police inspector who recently served a jail sentence for child pornography has been charged with trying to lure a a young girl.
Bail was set at $1 million for Leo Haley, 72, at his arraignment late Thursday, WTXF-TV, Philadelphia, reported.
The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office said Haley faces several charges after he allegedly tried to convince an 8-year-old girl to leave the front yard of her home in the Roxborough neighborhood. They include unlawful restraint and terroristic threats.
Haley, who was arrested in suburban Delaware County on the child pornography charge in 2010, was recently released from jail. He is on probation and is a registered sex offender.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
