Gallup: Majority satisfied with campaigns

PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Most Americans said they were satisfied with how each party's candidate for president conducted his campaign, Gallup said Monday.

Fifty-eight percent of respondents to a Gallup poll said they were satisfied with the conduct of President Obama's campaign and 54 percent said they were satisfied with how Republican challenger Mitt Romney conducted his campaign, results indicated.

In the voting bloc of independents, majorities said they were satisfied with each campaign -- 57 percent with Obama's and 53 percent with Romney's, the Princeton, N.J., polling agency said.

Ninety-percent of Democrats said they were satisfied with how Obama's campaign has been conducted and 89 percent of Republicans said they were satisfied with how Romney's campaign has been run.

Results are based on nationwide telephone interviews conducted as part of Gallup Daily tracking Oct. 27-28, with 1,063 adults. The margin of error is 4 percentage points.
