Calif. hit by 3.2 magnitude earthquake

EUREKA, Calif., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- A shallow earthquake with a 3.2 magnitude was reported Wednesday 26 miles from Eureka, Calif., the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The temblor occurred at 8:29 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 miles, it reported. The epicenter was five miles from the town of Willow Creek, 15 miles from Blue Lake and 15 miles from Weitchpec.

It is the second earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 or greater to have shaken the area in the past 10 days, the Los Angeles Times reported.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.
