MERIDIAN, Idaho, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- An Idaho woman pleaded guilty to two counts relating to her landlady's 2007 death, police said.
Carrie Horsman, 44, faces a possible 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to failing to report the death of Dee Lynn, 76. Police said Horsman reported Lynn missing but the woman's body was later found in a suitcase in a garage at the home the two shared.
Police said Horsman admitted to stealing $7,500 and covering up the woman's death, KTVB-TV, Boise, reported Wednesday.
An autopsy could not determine the cause of death but there were no signs of injury and a toxicology report came back normal, KBOI-TV, Boise, reported.
Horsman will be sentenced Dec. 12.
