SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Two U.S. Army sergeants have admitted sexually abusing a 3-year-old boy and using him to create child pornography, Texas investigators allege.
Wade Allen Perkins, 26, of Dallas, Ore., and his former girlfriend, Kimberly Epperson, 24, of Garland, Texas, appeared before a federal magistrate this week. A bail hearing was scheduled for Thursday, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
Investigators say the couple became romantically involved in early 2011 when they were both stationed at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. They allegedly molested the boy, and Epperson allegedly created pornographic images she sent Perkins while he was back in Oregon.
Epperson allegedly told investigators Perkins got her involved in the sexual activity. He allegedly admitted being sexually aroused by children and convincing Epperson to get involved.
Investigators say the boy described Perkins as a "sweaty bad man" who hurt him.
