MIAMI, Ohio, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Miami University officials in Ohio expressed belated outrage when a flyer titled "Top 10 Ways to Get Away with Rape" appeared in a dormitory.

Kate Van Fossen, a sexual assault victims advocate at the school, said the flyer, even if intended to be humorous, wasn't something to laugh about.

"Even if it was a joke, it's disturbing to me that the thoughts are crossing someone's mind," she said. "He came up with 'If you're afraid the girl will identify you, slit her throat.'"

University officials failed to publicly acknowledge the flyer for a week before issuing a statement calling it reprehensible, Van Fossen told WEWS-TV, Cleveland.

The school held a mandatory meeting for all male students living in the dorm where the flyer was found and university police were trying to identify who posted it.
