Colo. police seek tips in Jessica's death

ARVADA, Colo., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Police in Arvada, Colo., appealed to the community to "call all tips in" in the slaying of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway, whose body was found in a park.

Investigators in the Denver suburb are working around the clock on the case, police spokewoman Cheri Spottke said.

"Call all tips in, and let police decide," Spottke said.

Most people will understand if police contact them concerning a tip, even if it's a false alarm, the officer said.

Jessica was last seen by her mother Oct 5 as the girl went to school, The Denver Post reported.

Jessica's body was found Friday.

"We are talking just days that roll into days because you get very little sleep [on such an investigation]," said Mark Techmeyer, spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
